Hopeful Hill Ranch is a diverse 28 acres that includes horse pastures, ponds, meadows, mixed oak and confer forests, and Deer Creek frontage. We raise and sell grass hay; use solar energy to power our ranch operations; and have a variety of free-range hens that lay "Hopeful Hill Rainbow Eggs" for sale by subscription.

We are proud to be recipients of the Nevada County Conservationist of the Year Award and make our ranch available for educational seminars. Past seminars have included topics on pond care, pasture management, irrigation, rural road maintenance, and ranch management. Chicken tours are available to small groups and elementary school classes.
